EB-5 Investment

For business investors, there are several options for immigration to the United States.  Please review the basic requirements listed below if you are considering this route.   The Lani Cao Law Office has successfully guided many clients through this process.   We speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and English helping us ensure effortless communication with our clients. Please contact us to discuss these investment options with our immigration law attorneys.

If you want to be actively involved in investment in the United States or if you wish to join an investment project that has already been set up by other investors, you can apply for an Eb-5 Investment Green Card.  This option allows a person to immigrate alone, or with a spouse and/or unmarried children. The EB-5 category requires an investment of US$500,000 to US$1,000,000 in a new commercial enterprise.  Additionally, the investment must produce at least ten full-time jobs. After the EB-5 petition is approved, the investor becomes a conditional resident for two years, and when the conditions are removed, becomes a permanent resident.

Eb-5 Regional Center Investment

For those who do not want to get actively involved in the daily operations of an investment, there is another investment option.  An Eb-5 Regional Center Investment means choosing from a list of pre-approved investment projects and investing your money into these pre-existing projects.  These projects are called Regional Center Investments.  Investors in a Regional Center do not need to deal with the day-to-day management of the project.  Additionally, Regional Center investors do not need to prove job creation, but instead rely on industry job multiplier statistics.
